Privacy Policy — Hide Reposts for Threads

Hide Reposts for Threads is a browser extension that hides reposts from your Threads feeds. It is built to work entirely on your device: it does not collect, transmit, or sell your browsing data.

1. Data stored on your device

• The on/off toggle state and the count of hidden reposts are stored locally using the browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local).
• This data never leaves your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

2. Data you choose to send (feedback form)

The extension includes an optional "Send feedback" form. Nothing is sent unless you press the Send button. A submission contains:

• your message,
• your email address — only if you choose to enter it (optional),
• the extension version and your browser's interface language, to help diagnose issues.

Submissions are delivered to the developer's email inbox by Web3Forms, a form forwarding service that processes the submission and retains it on its servers for up to 30 days (see the Web3Forms privacy policy).

Feedback is used solely to respond to you and to improve the extension. It is never sold and never shared with anyone else. You can request deletion of a previous submission at any time through the same feedback form.

3. What the extension does not do

• No collection of browsing history or page content.
• No analytics, no cookies, no tracking, no ads.
• Hiding reposts happens entirely inside your browser; nothing about the pages you visit is transmitted anywhere.

4. Permissions

• storage — saves the toggle state and hidden-repost count on your device.
• contextMenus — adds the "Send feedback" item to the extension icon's right-click menu.

5. Changes to this policy

Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
